F.I.S.H. donates Summer Camp Snacks

Thanks to our friends at F.I.S.H. our campers will enjoy healthy snacks during our Summer Program. “F.I.S.H is a human services organization, focused for over thirty-eight years on ‘neighbors helping neighbors’. The mission of F.I.S.H. is to lend a helping hand to those who live, work or visit here. The F.I.S.H. vision is to enrich the lives of everyone on Sanibel and Captiva Islands through an array of Food Programs, Island Based Workshops, Social Services and Helping Hands.” (Information found at https://www.fishofsancap.org/) We are so grateful for their continuous support.

At CECI we strive to encourage healthy eating habits. Food literacy is intertwined within our school year curriculum. Our children prepare a variety of foods, which allows them to taste foods they might not have ever been introduced to at home. Teaching our students where our food comes from is another foundation of our food literacy curriculum. Thanks to F.I.S.H. we can continue to provide healthy snack options and continue our food literacy curriculum throughout the Summer!
