Each week of camp has a unique theme and activities, but there are some traditions we do regardless of the theme. We surf regularly and have a “Surf Party” on Friday morning.
In Sanibel Sea School style, every week includes artwork, beach time, and dip netting. Our “Milk and Cookies Slideshow” takes place every Friday at the end of the day. Bring some delicious baked goodies and join us to experience your child’s week of camp. Details on the week’s theme-specific activities are below.

June 8 – 12 Wings in Training – Osprey Week
High above the water, atop pine trees or nesting platforms, something exciting is happening: Osprey chicks are taking their first flight! This week, our littlest campers will learn all about fledglings and what it takes to grow from a tiny, fluffy chick into a strong and fearless bird of prey. Through playful games, stories, and art projects, we’ll practice flapping our wings, balancing like we’re in a nest, and discovering the important role parents play in caring for their young. It’s a sweet, silly, sky-high week all about growing, learning, and taking those first big steps (or leaps) - just like our little campers!
June 15 – 19 Jump, Flip, Splash – Dolphins Week
You’ll be jumping out of the water for joy when you hear about this week, because it’s a fan-favorite! Bottlenose dolphins are one of the most intelligent marine mammals, and they sure do know how to have some fun. This week, we’ll play in the waves just as the dolphins do, learn how to catch fish with our dip nets, and stroll along the beach searching for their dorsal fins popping above the water. If anyone knows how to have as much fun as these silly porpoises, it's surely our littlest campers. So, splash on by because it’s sure to be flippin’ fantastic!
June 22 – 26 The Secret World of Blennies Week
Who’s better at playing hide-and-seek—our Sea School campers or blennies? We’ll find out this week as we learn all about these teeny-tiny, vibrant fish that love to stay hidden but are nothing short of adorable. In fact, we think they’re the perfect fish to celebrate during a Sea Squirt Week because, just like our youngest explorers, they bring tons of silly energy to any habitat and have charismatic, spunky personalities. Blennies are small, bottom-dwelling fish with modified pectoral fins for perching, big, bulgy eyes, and upturned mouths. They’re often spotted in the intertidal zone, peeking out of crevices or holes in rocks, sand, or shells. We’ll channel our inner blennies this week with lots of hide-and-seek, fort-building, and creative “territorial” displays. We’ll perch on rocks as we search for other fun wildlife and camouflage ourselves into the sand. With lots of giggles, games, and sneaky skills, we’ll prove that being small, spunky, and curious can be a whole lot of fun
